End Kids Cancer!

Help Cynthia raise money to end kids cancer:

MY #1 works with one of the most generous and wonderful people on the planet: Cynthia Elliott. Cynthia’s running in the Sears Great Canadian Run-The Relay To End Kids Cancer. She’s motivated to run her butt off by Andy, a two-year old boy who’s just starting a lengthy journey in battling leukemia.

What can I say. It’s a heartbreak when anyone is stricken with a horrible disease like cancer, most especially a child. I know that we all sadly agree on this.

I’ve published Cynthia’s email (below). Please, please give. Even a buck or two will help to end this crappy disease which we all deplore, and which continuously smashes our hearts to bits. And hey, if you’re on Twitter or Facebook, would you spread the word?

From Cynthia:

Hello everyone,

If you are receiving this email it is for one of two reasons; you either:

a) …are an extremely benevolent and caring person, or;

b) …love children and hate cancer.

Most of you fit both categories.

Recently two of the most genuine, sincere and sweet people I know were met with a devastation that one can only begin to empathize with. Their adorable 2-year-old son Anderson was diagnosed with leukemia. He now will now face up to 16 years of continuous treatment to battle this brutal disease.

I will be participating in the Sears Great Canadian Run- Relay to End Kids Cancer on October 15th, 2011 which is a 100km run from Ottawa to Chateau Montebello.

My goal is to raise $1,000, but I can’t do it without your help so please join me in raising money for a great cause by sponsoring my campaign. Just click on the link and it will take you to my personal page where you can sponsor me http://searscanada.akaraisin.com/ottawa/CynthiaElliott. I am running this race to help improve research capacities at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario to mitigate and hopefully prevent the incidence of cancer in children.Please sponsor me and help make a difference. Together, with your support, we can enrich the lives of Canadian children, and their families.
